Saya has had some bad periods in recent years. She had vague health complaints and several tests showed nothing. Last year she had a really bad period and we did all possible tests we could think of. Ultimately, research by the specialist showed that Saya has IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease); an inflammation of the stomach and intestines. After months of treatment, with both a veterinary specialist and the support of a veterinary naturopath, Saya has completely recovered. She is now completely off the medication and is doing well on an adapted diet. We don’t recognize her anymore. We suddenly have an energetic, cheerful and noisy Shiba at home.

Because we do not please Saya with puppies and given her (now stable) health, we have made the choice to take her out of our breeding program.
